About the Open Arms Program
Rotaract Blue recognised an unmet need to provide support and recognition for individuals in our community with special needs. As a result, the Open Arms Program was born with a long-standing vision to enhance society’s understanding of persons with special needs.
A fundamental element of the program is the Open Arms Gala, an evening which celebrates and recognises the lives of parents, caretakers, educators and others in the local community who work extremely hard to enrich the lives of individuals with special needs.
The event also shines the spotlight on persons excelling despite their disability and allows the community to nominate individuals for several awards.
