Rotaract Blue is ready to take the baton in an all out effort towards the finish line. The race to end Polio is on the home stretch. We can win.

Polio eradication has been Rotary’s top priority since 1985, with more than $1.2 billion contributed to the effort and two billion children vaccinated. In response to the two $355 million Gates Foundation grants, Rotary will raise $200 million in funds and must be completed by 30 June 2012. We are on the brink of eradicating this tenacious disease and we have $20 million to go.

Rotaract Blue is challenging the Rotaractors and Rotarians of the world to stand up and be part of Rotaract Blue’s 1,000 Pennies for Polio. Rotaract Blue has already contributed to the cause and now we challenge all Rotary and Rotaract clubs of the Cayman Islands to do the same. When we have done our part to move closer to the eradication of Polio, we will challenge district 7020 to take the vow. And then, the world!

We are “this close”. It is a window of opportunity of historic proportions. Let us support this global initiative by giving '1,000 Pennies for Polio'. Take the Vow. End Polio now. $10 to change the world forever. If you have already taken the vow to end Polio now, thank you on behalf of the children of the world.
