Martha's House, a Mustard Seed Community Home in Kingston, which houses abandoned children affected with HIV/AIDS was burned down on March 16.  Due to this 30 children have now lost their home and as you can imagine this ordeal has been very traumatic for them.

Ms Fiona de Serpa Pimentel and Ms. Ana Chisolm of South Sound have kindly opened their homes to donations for these children and is arranging for them to be shipped to Jamaica.


Please find below a list of items needed. 


(Note regarding items for childrenThere are 13 girls ranging from 2-15 years, and 17 boys ranging from 5-12 years)


  • Gently used clothing
  • Toiletries
  • Tylenol / Motrin (unopened)
  • Sanitary Wipes and Purell hand sanitizer
  • Cutlery, plates and glasses
  • Paper towel and toilet paper
  • Bedding, incl pillows, pillowcases and comforters - single / twin preferred, but queen and king also accepted
  • Bath towels and face cloths
  • Clean rags
  • Clean toys incl stuffed animals
  • Books, DVDs, VHS tapes
  • Non-perishable can foods
  • All furniture

  • Kindly label and bag (esp. clothing) each item - this will assist with the organization of things.
  • If sending in boxes, please label and close but not seal the boxes as items will still need to be removed.
  • Items may be dropped off at:
    • the Pimentel Home - 535 South Church St, two doors south of Montessori School of Cayman and just north of Dart Park, or
    • Ana Chisolm's house at 63 Webster Drive, Webster Estates.
  • They would like to ship the items this weekend so the sooner you get yours there the better chance they have of the items leaving by the weekend.
