Rotaract Blue represented at UCCI's "Service Club Day"- letting students know what this fantastic group is all about!

On Friday September 18th, The University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) hosted a "Service Club Day" on the main campus. Three local youth community service groups responded to the call and came out to let the student body know about their projects and how they could get involved. Participating clubs included: Leo Club of Grand Cayman, Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman and Rotaract Blue Club of the Cayman Islands.

Deputy Director of Student Services, Mr. Mitch Ebanks discussed the importance of this initiative, "We recognise the need to get our youth involved with building the community and interacting positively with their peers. UCCI was happy to see that these clubs came out and encourage all of our students to learn more about what they can do to build a better Cayman."

Rotaract Blue Director Stephanie Scott was enthusiastic about the outcome of the "Service Club Day", "This event was a great step forward to get young persons interested in community service. Many students visited our booth and expressed their interest and desire to get involved. We hope that this will be the beginning of a lifelong dedication to service within the Cayman community for all the students who took part, and that they will encourage others to join our efforts."
