Every year, Rotaract Blue awards the Fred Speirs Vocational Grant to a local student to pursue technical/vocational studies as part of its Professional Development avenue of service. Our Vocational Grant is heading into it’s 6th Year of providing Young professionals of the Cayman Islands with the opportunity to further their studies home or abroad.
 

The Fred Speirs Vocational Grant (the “Vocational Grant”) is for eligible applicants, between 16 and 30 years of age, who are enrolled or accepted into a local or overseas vocational/technical skills course, above  and supplemental to high school. Details of eligibility are provided in the Vocational grant application criteria under "Downloads" on the website.

Rotaract Blue understands the value of Vocational development in the Cayman Islands and took action to create opportunities for young Caymanians to have access to the necessary training and education. Financial assistance for vocational courses has traditionally been overlooked and  Rotaract Blue is pleased to assist young Caymanians in fulfilling their dreams in these key career and skill areas.

Interested person are now invited to submit applications for this year’s Fred Speirs Vocational Grant. The deadline for submitting the criteria for the grant is May 2, 2014.
